World Bank MERIT project
The World Bank-funded MERIT project in Vietnam improves the climate resilience of agricultural production and rural communities. As part of the project, a system for managing climate and disaster risks in the Mekong Delta is being developed.

The World Bank is funding the ongoing MERIT project (Mekong Delta Climate Resilience and Integrated Transformation Project) of Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. The project aims to improve the climate resilience of agricultural production and rural communities in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam.
The project develops a unified platform for managing climate and disaster risks in the Mekong Delta. The system integrates data collection, monitoring and response systems that are currently scattered across several agencies and databases.
Kari Mikkonen is working as a World Bank consultant on the requirements specification and procurement of the system.
